Worst track visit ever

Worst track visit ever I had teh 3600 torque converter installed on Monday and all of last week I tried geting it tuned so torque management wouldn't **** me off, but it just wasn't possible ot get it tuned this week.
I took it to the tracks today anyway. And ran a best of 13.9 @ 99. That is .8 seconds slower than what i had before the converter.
I was bouncing off the rev limiter on every shift, and the car just didn't want to shift properly. I'm guessing it was torque management. It was so bad I let off the gas after hitting 95.
Can anyone offer any insight into whay my car did so horribly? My best 60' was a 2.1. This was at a track at 1100 above sea level and 76* outside. Stock camaro z28s were running faster than me.

Re: Worst track visit ever if it makes you feel any better my last time at the track i was running 13.9 and 14.2 and this is with a tone of mods....just got to laught about it and fix the problem...good luck...

Re: Worst track visit ever hehe it didnt bother me that much... i was laughin about it at some points that i spent 800 on the torque converter only to go slower. but thanks guys... looks like torque management and shift points are the culprit!

Re: Worst track visit ever Torque management should not cause you to hit the rev limiter like you describe. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> Did you check the fluid level?
