Default first time results

okay....i have had the car for a month, never launched it. Went to the track last night for midnight madness and figured i give it a few runs.
The air temp was around 90, and about 90% humidity.....so hot and humid as hell was against me to begin with.
I ran it straight off the highway and went staright back around for a 2nd run.
My launch was disgusting... i know. launched from an idle as i got into the gass, spun for a sec. then fell on its face.

60 Ft. 2.26
330 6.032
1/8 9.061
mph 81.08
1000 11.64
1/4 13.820
mph 103.40

as far as mods SLP lid, K&N are my only mods. Overall im am satified for the conditions, and my level of driving skill on the launches.
I shift 5900 rpm on all shifts, shifting easy, letting all the way off the gas inbetween shifts. very little warmup burnout.

Tell me what you think for my first time racing a stick at the track. Also tips on launching these cars is greatly appriciated

Well from your whole statement about how you ran it, your luckly it ran that.
1. The car was extremely heat soaked which the temp just made it worst.
2. You need to practice the lauch before the track, if you can.
Next time let it cool for about 30 hour and lower your tire psi to around 26. Sounds like your on track.

Practice will help over time, and as you become comfortable with shifting, less time off the gas between shifts will also help drop the et down. Otherwise, good times for summer air and your first race experience! Keep at it!

Sounds like you've got some potential. 13.8s in a humid atmosphere and lift throttle shifts! Thats actual pretty impressive to me. Anyway, like these guys said, when you get to the track, park car open hood for 30 mins, let some psi out of tires. I drive an a4 so i cant tell you what rpm to launch at. But my advice is heat the tires as hard as possible. It will make a tremendous difference. Also practice your shifts and launches! If you do all this, have a decent day temp. wise, and speed shift. You should hit 13.4s for sure. Maybe better.
