Default New best MPH (cam only)

Well I didn't get a new best E.T. this weekend at Beech Bend Raceway, but did come away with a best MPH

60'____1.55
330___4.616
1/8___7.19 @ 95.5
1000__9.41
1/4___11.30 @ 123.3

DA = +1812' raceweight ~3475

Cam only T-Rex car with 4l60e, Yank PT 4800, 4.30's, 90/90 and 28" ET Drags.
Still having some tuning gremlins, but hopefully they will get worked out soon.

WOW! that car is moving on the topend of the track. What MPH did your 1000ft. come in? Mine was pulling some wicked mph 2 weeks ago after we got the tune nailed down but no 1/4 mile times,1000ft. track.

I don't know what the mph was at 1000'. The 1/8 E.T. and MPH is killing the times because of a tuning issue. The car is sputtering and popping stalling it up to 3000 rpm off the line. I think it has something to do with the 85 mm Granetelli MAF. Hopefully it will get worked out soon

Got a best mph again, but it's just not doing the job in the 1/8. The mph is terrible in the 1/8. I need to log a whole run and see what the fuel, timing, kr, etc... are throughout the whole run.

DA +921'

60'_____1.48 (spinning)
330'____4.52
1/8_____7.07 @ 94.67 mph
1/4_____11.11 @ 125.43 mph

best mph in the 1/4 was 125.50 @ +1643' DA. Still the same weight 3475-3480?

Congrats on the times, but something sounds fishy about the MPH, I really really doubt your car is making enough power at that weight to pick up over 30 MPH from the 1/8th to 1/4, that just doesnt even come close to adding up

i agree. a 1.48 and trapping 125 should be easy 10s unless something weird is going on. just for reference, a buddy of mine went 11.17@122 with a 1.62. knock 2 tenths off the 60' and add 3mph, you gotta be 10s unless somehting is F'd up.

It was trapping 123 at Beech bend Raceway in Bowling Green, KY last weekend @ +1812' DA with the MAF giving me problems. I had it retuned in speed density last week and went to Steele, AL to a different track and trapped 125. Oh well we will see next time I go to Beech Bend.

BTW the time in my sig was -1050 DA and different cam that made 347 rwhp. through an unlocked 4400 and 3.73 gears.
With the T-Rex it made 381 rwhp through an unlocked 4800 and 4.30 gears before I added the 90/90.

Im not saying that your 1/4 MPH is for sure the incorrect number, the 1/8th MPH markers may be what is off, but either way you arn't picking up 30+ MPH from the 1/8th to the 1/4 just look at the first slip you posted you picked up ALMOST 28 which is still really really impressive, but then all the sudden you picked up OVER 30 that just doesnt add up,

BTW my car weighs 3400 and is a M6 and only picked up 27 MPH and makes almost 80 more RWHP than your car.....(granted auto vs stick but you get the point)

It was weird for sure. One thought that we had was that the clocks were a little off, so we asked around. But everyone we asked said that their times and mph's, etc. matched up. So I dunno

BDN in a thread under this one was there also at Steele and running the same lane I was. His results were 7.067 @ 96.06 11.061@125.15, 7.009 @ 96.38 10.992@125.47, and 6.990 @ 97.53 10.977@126.62. I definitely think there is something up with my 1/8 mph. I will have to do some logging and find out.

Congrats BAIN on the new best mph. The 1/8 mph is down compared to other tracks that I run on. I just ran at a local 1/8 track last week and every pass was 98.0 to 98.5 mph and that was in 3200' DA conditions. Steele is a good track for 1/4 mph anyway. BTW your car sounds good, and its DBN not BDN.
