need driver mod being my first manual and first time running this car, i was a total newb, i had an auto t/a that i ran all the time but my m6 z28 is tough to launch, first run was 13.7@ 103 with a 2.2 60ft. every time i'd bogg down at the launch or spin, and for some reason it took me 2 attempts to get into 4th every time, but i'm gonna keep trying and hope for the best...oh my worst run was a 14.5@ 102 i spun bad and didn't get into 4th on the first try

Well that's not horrible times considering you are new to manual tranny cars man. Like you said, just get more seat time and practice often and you will get the hang of it and feel what your car needs. Once you get it down, you'll be running strong, on your launches and your shifts. No offense, but how do you have trouble hitting 4th? Anyways, take it easy man.
practice, practice pratice, you'll get it! And you did pretty good for your first time. What kind of pressure are you running in those big tires? Are you doing a fat nasty burnout, Nittos like alot of heat. Those tires could get you well below the 2.x's your seeing.

I was there with him. I have the same tires. I had mine down to about 20 psi, I think we put his to 22. I have a line lock so I can get a good burnout. I do believe he went around the box. I told him he should try to heat them a little. I'm still working on my launch, and finally got below the 2.0. Still running stock 10 bolt, so still trying to take it easy. I think next time I'll come down to 17-18 psi, but I don't think I'll get back to the track before a tune for my new TEA heads. I want to hit 11's on this setup. Obviously I need a rear.
