About a month and a half ago, I took my car to the dragway for the first time. I'd raced my old 3.8 a lot but obviously, this is a little different. It was about 90 degrees and super humid. I couldn't beat a 14.1 for some reason.

So tonight went back with vigor and produced some half decent times. I also wanted a good base to compare once I install my LS6 intake...

Runs in order:

1st - 13.933 @104 w/ 2.345 60'
2nd - 13.752 @104 2.278 60'
3rd - 13.443 @106 2.113 60'
4th - 13.512 @106 2.206 60'
5th - 13.315 @106 2.111 60'

It was super busy and crammed the last 3 in right before they closed...everyone was leaving. I wish I could have had another run though. I still feel there's plenty of room for improvement. I'm psyched I actually ran a 13.3. I wouldn't be surprised if I get the launch down a tad better and put the LS6 on...Maybe I'll be in 12 second territory.

not bad! were you on street tires? What RPM did you launch from?

 

Michelin PS2's at 28 psi. Launched around 2k for the good runs with no wheel spin. I know I can launch harder. I bogged it on every launch.
