Optimum stall is approximately 500 rpm below peak torque. That 224 will probably peak about 4500. 4000 should be a pretty good choice.

That's first hand and very accurate info right there Larry

Vig3600 (actually is a 4000) or an SS4000 for a daily driver. You should see 7-8 tenths improvement if traction isn't an issue. It's the best mod for the $$$ IMO.

I have a TR224 with a pro extreme 4k yank TC and my best time is in the sig but the car made a few 7.20's. Maybe if I got a looser 4k stall it probably drop a .05 to about a .1 on motor.

Yeah that converter is leaving 2-3 tenths on the table unless you are real heavy. 1.45 60fts would net you appx. 3/10, but that converter is probably sweet on the bottle. Those are nice NA times and the N2O times will likely be outstanding.

Good luck!

The biggest one you can get. LOL

I used to run a PT4200 and loved it.

Good converter.

We'll see how long it is before you say, "I wish I would have went bigger"

The Vig3200 is a good choice (actually it's about a 3600 rpm stall). You will definitely enjoy it. Good luck!
