Default first run

i went to us 41 drag strip today an ran a car for the first time ever i made 4 passes each one with a quicker time my fastest was only a 13.93 though any advise on how to go faster. i have a 99 trans am a4 with catback, filter and a lid, and descreened mass air with stock 2.73 gears. i dont want to rally spened alot of cash and really cant mod to much because i have a warranty. any help would be aprieciated.
my reaction time sucked buthere are the numbers for my runs
first run let off at 1000ft was told if i went faster than 13.99 they would shut me down(forgot my helmet).temp was in the 80's and there was a head wind that started to get worse id say 20mph or more at the end

You need a stall converter in a bad way. Other then that I really wouldn't do anything else (Tranny cooler obviously).

How about some drag radials. Like he said above...a stall.

i cant put a stall on because it will void the warrenty on my trans. the tires i have realy didnt spin so im not worried about drag radials yet.

I've only been to the 1/8th mile and your times look like mine with 2.73's, air filter & catback. 9.0 @ 82 w/ 2.0 60ft is what i think it was.

i forgot to put in that i have the hypertech pp3 installed but im not sure if its helping me or not i plan to go to the track sunday and see if i do better with it installed or not

The temperature and headwind were hurting your times. In decent conditions your car should be mid 13's @ 103-104. With just a lid, dynomouth and SSRA I was running 13.3 @ 105 on high 2.1 60's.

Try again when the temps are a little cooler and headwind is minimal or non-existent. If you still can barely break out of the 14's then I would strongly consider saving for a dyno-tune. If your a/f ratio is out of whack for whatever reason then you could be losing a lot of HP. Not to mention that running too lean or too rich can be dangerous to the motor.
