New To The Forums...
Anyways just went to 1/4 track for the first time in the Nissan, last Thursday and this was my first and only run.
0-60' - 2.329
1/8 Mile ET - 8.892
1/8 Mile MPH - 83.910
1/4 Mile ET - 13.302
1/4 Mile MPH - 107.005
The car is running on an open differential so the 60' is a problem. The car is on stock wheels (15"), and has no external modifications (looks stock). The only modifications on the car is a Greddy VSPL FMIC, and full 3" catback. The car is at 12psi boost. The car sits at 2672lbs. without me in it, mostly full interior, no tools jack or spare.
Anyways thought I'd share, and I hope to have my own Z28 in the near future.
Just kind of tired of squeezing out meager power out of these tiny import engines. Not to say they aren't fun to drive in their own right. A light turbocharged RWD platform is pretty fun to drive, even if the scene is full of bandwagons, drifters, and ricers. I want something that I can run a couple of bolt ons, maybe a mild cam, and a medium shot of nitrous. Easy 11s. The LS1 can do that...easy. That would require a turbo upgrade on the Nissan. A turbo upgrade + everything needed to make it run properly = $$. However, I might go with a GT28R, since it's are direct bolt up and utilizes all the stock components, and should put out around 300hp/300tq., which is about as high as you can go on these cars without spending alot of money on an expensive turbo setup. Should be fun having the best of both worlds.
