Why God Why!!!

So I went back to the track tonight the temp was around 80. Only ran once My time was as follows
60'-2.289
1\8th-9.263@79.09

Do yall see 8's anywhere in there? what can i do to help.... i was leave around 1800. Is ther something wrong with my car (1998 T/a m6 stock 95,000 miles). Please help me

Get your 60ft down and you will see improvement. Go get some MT street radials if you don't already have them.

1.7 or 1.8 atleast, heat the tires up good. Are you doing a good burnout? Try doing your burnout in 2nd gear to get the tires really good and hot.

I seriously doubt him hitting 1.7 60 ft times with street tires. Also not realy a good idea to heat up street tires usually makes them more slick. I would ditch the street tires and get DR's. If you can cut a 2.0 60 ft on street tires you are doing well and will be in the 8's no problem.

If you can get 2.0's on street tires that would be a good start. Practice and trying different launching ideas will help here until you find what the car likes (or what you can get regular street tires to handle). As mentioned, drag radials will help as well, just be careful of the ticking time bomb known as the 10-bolt rear!

End result - Post a 2.0 60 foot in similar conditions with no clutch slip and 8.90's or faster are yours!

I'm going to try my best. My clutch is slipping i think. But it want be till the weekend after next before I will post anything else. what would be a good rpm to maybe launch at.
