Default Help Me Get 10s!!

Alright, here's my best time slip from tonight. with my trap speed, i should be in the 10s right? it's a decent 60', not great, but ok. btw, i'm soo happy they didn't mention roll cage with that ET, the track was shuttin down, so i don't think they cared.
60' 1.86
1/8 7.41 @ 101.2
1/4 11.32 @ 128.5
conditions were 91 degrees, running BFGs at 14psi, rwhp 562
(previous best -before h/c work was 60' 1.73, 1/4 11.25 @123.2)
thanks for any suggestions!

Man you really should talk to Ranger with hp you got 10.5 and 130mph shouldnt be a problem.

You ran 11.2 with boltons right? what 480rwhp?
Good burnout 3000rpm and slowly slip the clutch but dont let it bog of the line.
Good luck and you have one awesome car man congrats.

4.10's might help your 60' if you can get teh car to hook, are you bogging or spinning really bad?

That is definitely a mid to high ten if you could hook it. The 60' is high due what looks like too much heat and lack of a sticky tire. You're picking up pretty good from the 1/8 to 1/4, just get it to hook.

ranger was 10.85 stock C6Z with DRs. granted that dude is incredible driver and had the DA in his favor.

in working on the launch, i'm launching at 5000 rpms. when i get a good burnout, it hooks fine, but it still bogs down a bit, till about 4000. should i launch at higher rpm? that seems a bit high as it is, and i redline at 7.

Keep raising your launch rpm until you slightly spin. Bogging is killing your time.

I think you'll get it with a little more track time dude, you're very close and your MPH is def there, Keep up the clutch work, if you're bogging, you need less clutch or more throttle. If you're just strait dumping, add some feather to it.

Try to get someone to video tape your runs. I'd love to see that thing going down the track!!! Then we can see your launch. Your 60' times are fair.

Nice car!!!

your def losing alot in the first 1/8. since you have so much power you can see that your whole time is made up on the back half.

i went 7.071 @ 98.06 and went 10.998 @ 126.93

try coming out of the whole a lil higher on the launch.

the weather isnt helping you any either. come fall youll def run 10s!!

heres a site that i use prior to heading to the track to give me an estimate of the DA.
http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_da.htm

hope that helps.

good luck

You need a 7.0 - 7.2 in the 1/8th to run 10's at that mph, you need to get the car faster in the first 330 feet.
