1st & only pass
. Before the pas I was sitting in the staging lane waiting with the a/c blowing , had on my normal rain tires , didnt even check the pressure. Run the way it drove there and back 200miles .Also made the pass instantly after entering the facility from the drive there after teching in . no cool down, Heres how the slip looks Houston Raceway Park
Fri , 8/24/07 , 8:30pm
Left lane
R/T ... .653
60' ... 2.337
330 .. 5.911
1/8 ... 8.758
MPH .. 87.68
1000 .. 11.199
1/4 ... 13.233
MPH .. 111.16
I thought it would 60' better than that , I went around the water , tried a quick cleanup spin, tires didnt even spin so I rolled up , prestage, stage .
Held rpm at around 3500-4000 , quick slip of the clutch and it left decent with no tire spin I just matted it after the 60' . Belive I was shifting around 6,000. [shifting by ear ] .
Not to impressive considering my old 5.0 I pulled a 2.00 60' but it only went 14.8 / 97mph
. I need a helmet so I can try a few more times , I also weighed it . With me in the car it was 3,650lbs .. little bit above a 1/4 tank of gas . It weighed 3,490lbs without me in it . Sounds right cause I weigh 160lbs . full weight , jack, spare , etc was in the car . still has the front metal bumper , washer bottle .
Dont know what the DA was , car dynoed 345rwhp/347rwtq
Mods were lid , ls6intake,headers,dual exhaust. moser9'' 4.11 , pro 5.0 . Tires were 285/40/17 non dr , never spun though

Your fault for not knowing what your track requires for safety equipment.
Why would you run your A/C in the staging lanes? Not only do you leave the water all over the staging lanes, but you still have some water in the lines during your entire staging process. Turn it off once you enter the drag strip until you get ready to leave.
By the way -- nice MPH.

+1 with Navy David on the your fault for not knowing the rules at the track. And calling it BS is stupid because the rules are there for your safety. I think a helmet should be on no matter what.
I'll withhold comment on the "Calling BS on the helmet deal" b/c I'm in a good mood....
