Default Gained .4 and 5 mph

Well I finally got my car to the track friday night. Was looking to see what kind of improvements I could make with my new mods (longtubes, true duals, torque arm, lca, relocation brackets, sfc, and electric water pump) My previous best was 14.2 @ 99 mph basically stock w/ 4.10s and that was with a 2.0 60'. Today I ran 13.913 @ 103.67 with a 60' of 2.3x. It rained all week long and they didn't prep the track at all...I mean I really shouldn't had expected much being on street tires but the track just wasn't prepped for ****. It also didn't help that the density altitude was 2800 for the night....all in all I was pretty disappointed in only getting 13.9 out of my mods...I know with a better 60' (which i'm gonna borrow some good tires) and some better weather she has a low 13 run in her.

Yea, with more power, suspension, and gear than me, I'd be disappointed also with that #. You are however gonna borrow the key to my #'s, tires. I use slicks myself, and my sig. #'s came from using slicks. If you could get those 60's down with tires you should be a happy camper with the #'s

yeah I need to borrow some mickey thompsons or at least some nittos...i really hope my 10 bolt can hold it together for a few runs....also its funny how much difference weather can make...i was running during the afternoon/evening when it was 90+ and humid as crap and i couldnt get any higher than 101-102....waited a while till it cooled down to about 85 and the sun started to go down a lil...still rather hot and very humid...and i gained about 2 mph. I shoulda stayed until 10 and ran when the weather was even better but I wanted to go drink so I left

Do not EVER expect any new bests in the summer, especially in a heatsoaked LT1 car!

14.2 with a 2.0 60ft
13.9 with a 2.3 60ft
You actually picked up about double what you claim if you cut the same 60ft you did on the first pass, so there is NOTHING to be disappointed about except for your launch

yeah i just can't figure out how to launch w/ these street tires...if i leave at 3k and dont dump the clutch and floor it i hook w/ no spin but only pull a 2.2 60' but then i launch at 3300-3400 and it just lights my tires up...I'm really gonna try to see if I can borrow a pair of dr for the track next time and i'll try to make sure I have a better DA than 2800. I should be able to pull a better 60' now that i have a chassis mounted torque arm, relocation brackets, and lca. I guess assuming I pull a 2.0 60' and run 13.3-13.4 which would give me an entire second...not bad for exhaust and tune
