Default Damn Warren

I am all for the underdog. Hanging on as long as possible but Warren Johnson is making too many driver mistakes.

Kurt Johnson won Pro Stock Sunday. Warren got treeed first round. Is that a word? He lost at the line. Didn't win a around on the Western swing. I would think since the Johnsons are a two car team both cars would be similar. I think both cars were 2 to 3 mph quicker than the filed, ie making more hp. Driver error happens in all classes.

Wasn't he making one more tour two years ago? Is a new driver in for The GM Goodwrench what ever? 2 door GXP! next year?

Will there be a GM Goodwrench vehicle next year?

And where is that Mustang Pro Stock team someone said was coming soon? That statement might have come from a Moderator.

I enjoyed Warren's thoughts on the "Countdown to Ten" during his post race interview. That was classic.

I enjoy watching the underdogs as well. I'm keeping an eye on Dave Connolly, that team has come a long way for having a late start.

And it's sad to remember Connolly finished third in Pro Stock in 2007. Couldn't
find a ride until the 5th. or 6th. race of the 2008 season.

Warren is rightfully in the Hall of Fame. He has been great for Pro Stock. I can't remember him ever driving anything other than GM. Pro Stock is one class where you just aren't on top too long. You've just got to drive. Easier said than done.

Warren has gone on record to say the GXP and the Cobalt are different in their set-ups. I agree his starting line "reflexes" aren't as good as before.

I use tree'd when I write racing reports (not sure if that's grammatically correct, just an FYI).

Thats a good point about the Cobalt and GXP requiring different set-ups. I believe Warren also drove a GTO earlier in the year. In my opinion it's a good thing he is the car owner as well as the car driver.

I was thinking the same thing when I watched him the other day.
Definately not as quick on the tree as he used to be.
