Lightbulb Next suspension mod?

I'm thinking of adding a mod or 2 to the suspension. I was thinking about some QA1s for the rear.

Here is my current set up:
Stock LS1-Heads/cam/420 rwhp, Vig 3600 & 3.73s
! Front sway bar
! Spare & jack
BMR lowering springs
BMR tubular LCAs & relocation brackets
UMI subframe connectors
Stock shocks & all other suspension not listed.
Bogarts-Morosos on the front & 275-50-15 MT ET radials on the rear

Car was right around 3500 lbs with the stock wheels on it, never scaled it with Bogarts on it.

Have went a best 60' of 1.51 a few times & all of my other runs with this set up have been in the 1.5s.

Here is a launch picture-

Any thoughts are appreciated.

I think I met you years ago at Tri-State Raceway when you had a different Camaro.

It looks like the chassis is twisting in the pic (LF higher than the RF). I would get a rear drag sway bar (to help straighten the car at launch) and front QA1's to help with weight transfer. I didn't see a mention of an aftermarket torque arm, I would get one of those as well.

I used to have a mystic teal Z28 I took to TSR a few times.

Thanks for the advice. I have thought about a tq arm, but didn't know if it would help me go faster.

Hello, our x treme rear anti roll bar will keep your car from twisting. If you have the stock torque arm i would definetly suggest getting a better one on there. We have several different styles full length and a shorter versions. QA1's will help out your car but you need to get that torque arm upgraded first. If you go with a full length arm we also a a relocation bracket for the torque arm, keeps you from breaking the trans tailshaft. I'll post you a link and some pictures. Give me a a call and we can go over what would be best in your situation.

We also offer 4th Gen suspension parts including our easy-to-install ARB / PHB kit. Check it out at http://www.trzmotorsports.com/34f.html. Will have torque arms available w/in the next 2 weeks as well. We debuted the prototype at the LSX shootout last weekend and it received a LOT of compliments.

Right now we're offering an end of race season discount as well which is on the site. Thanks and let us know if there is anything we could do for you.

Thank you, Here is a link to our torque arms- http://www.umiperformance.com/produc...ategory_id=130

I do recommend a torque arm as one of your next modifications, the QA1 shocks are a good idea as well and we carry those.

if you have any questions please give us a call.

Thank you!

We can make them any length desired. We're going to have 2 main lengths to offer, but can make them anything from 30" up to 60". We're testing a 36 and a 42 right now, one on a street car and one on a strip car. Strip car's been 1.30x 60 fts on 275 60's but he keeps having motor issues (only had a few passes thus far, haven't even played w/ shock settings yet). The street car is my daily driver car to test longevity, noise, road manners,... also take it to the track every once in a while just cuz I have to, been 12.0's at 121 mph on the STOCK rubber so far (its a 36" one we have set to hit the tires fairly hard, and it does!).

torque arm..any of the above will get the job done and I can help with the purchase

Qa1's will work, but we have had good luck with the cheap Comp Engineering rears as well.

I have the BMR drag bar on my car and it leaves straight and everyone always comments about that. The TRZ bolt in anti-roll bar is some pimp **** and we have that on Z8's car. I run the Spohn bolt in 1" on my fathers car and it has worked well too.

I would get some front Strange or Qa1's to set it off.

so in simple form torque arm, rear shocks and a rear bar and if the budget allows front struts.. let me know what you chose and when you are ready
