Default 15" ProStar grinding question

im probably getting a set of prostars, 15x3.5 and 15x8.

i REALLY wanna set what they look like on my car before i get them though. can i get them on my car to look at without grinding the calipers first. i know i have to grind the calipers down to make the rotate but will they just go on for appearance purposes without grinding

also anyone have pics of a grinded caliper so i know where to start

thanks
ryan

They will go on enough to sit there, but not enough to tighten them down. At least mine wouldn't. But you can get the idea I guess if that's all you want. I'm sure you could find a pic of someone else's car with those wheels though, they are pretty common. Good luck!

With the longer studs I put on, I could set the wheels on the car- but there's no way you can tighten them down. You could raise the car on jackstands (jackstands under the suspension so that the wheels sit at the normal position in the wheelwells) and set them on to see what it's gonna look like, but there's no way you'll be able to lower the car down without grinding or putting in a HUGE spacer- probable more than 1/2" on the rears (even then, you won't have enough thread engagement to really tighten the lugs).
