Question ???delete e-brake???

i have already removed the e-brake cables

HOW DO I REMOVE THE REST OF THE E-BRAKE ASSEMBLY FROM BEHIND THE ROTORS???

IS IT ATTACHED TO THE BACKING PLATE?

DO I DELETE THE BACKING PLATE TOO?

It also holds you bearing and seal in place on the axle, got to have a backing plate. I bought the Strange drag brakes, eliminates all of it and is much lighter than the stock brake setup but obviously not free weight savings.

i did it to mine when i put in my 9'' but i had the backing plates off. All you need is the plate so i just use a prybar and pulled all the **** i could off. The end result is ONLY the plate, so whatever parts you see, get um off somehow, lol. Its also a cool "pimp" factor when you put them back on, looks a lot cleaner....

I cut mine off of my 93. It was right around 12 lbs if I remember correctly.

I think if you pull the caliper and the rotor off, you can get to all the e-brake stuff and just remove it all. If you have ABS, you can remove the sensors as well. I don't remember mine having a dust shield but I see no reason you can't remove it. Did you also remove the e-brake handle assembly from inside the car?

yep, pulled the calipers and rotors off and removed the e-brake assembly. also removed the ABS sensors and pryed the reluctor rings off of the axles. ya im pulling the axles out tomorrow to remove the dust shields and reluctor rings. i didnt remove the e-brake handle (trying to keep my interior looking stock), but i removed the cable going to it, all the cables, and brackets on the axles

The ebrake handle is probably 6 lbs by itself if not more. You won't notice it being gone.

Taubr Unit from looking at your pictures I think I got everything off of mine, but I'm not sure. 93 with LT1 rear brakes:
