26 psi

good burn out

See if you spin or bog, if you spin you can try to reduce by 1 to 2 psi, if your bog, and you have tried to launch the hardest you could then add some air.

It's all about practice and research, every car is diff. Yours is heavy and reletivly stock so spinning off the line shouldnt happen.

alright will give it a try.. But isnt 26 psi..On my old mickeys i use to get them as low as 14psi. Are these that different psi wise? I know they arent as good as mickeys but just wondering why they would be up at 26 i guess.

I don't understand, why would he bog? How is the track? Any prep? Start out with 20 lbs. cold. 25 lbs is the recommended pressure for street driving. As mentioned, do a good burnout, the Nittos need it. If you spin, drop down a couple of pounds.

the track is alright, they prep but its gonna be around 50 degrees tommorow nite when i run, if not lower so hooking may become an issue.

LVD up here has pretty shitty prep and alot of water gets laid down. I ran 245/50-16 nittos for years and that was on a 383 LT1 with a 2800 stall and no suspension on a 3700 race weight and 3.23 gears with no issues.

its learning how to drive the car is a key factor.

What the poster is looking for is an instant answer and the truth is that he needs to go out and practice and learn what the car likes and doesnt like. They ALL react different.

A good starting point is 26psi and max PSI in the front, take out a few things like a spare tire and jack.

Hold the brake and keep a little foot pressure on the throttle and when the 3rd light hits, smash the gas, if it spins, its either not enough burn out, or your need to lower the PSI.

The ideal condition is to give as much PSI as traction will allow and at the same time leaving the line at MAX effort.

For my car its 6,000 rpm off the limiter dump and pulling wheels.....
