Soft/SS braided brake lines?
Soft/SS braided brake lines? Hey, I have deleted the ABS on my car and was thinking of routing the brake lines along the cowl (to PS wheel) and down the fender for the Drivers wheel. To do this I thought it would be alot easier to do it with a braided soft line especially since I have a guy who makes hydrolic lines for a OEM brake company.
I haven't asked his opinion yet but it seems like I remeber that this was not generally good practice. Does anyone have experience with this?

If you do it with Stainless Braided hose with a teflon liner it will be fine.
I did what you're talking, I ran a hard line along the lower radiator support so that I can drop the k member if I want without having to crack a brake line.
It does come out cleaner and will work, I didn't want to do it with softline in fear that it wouldn't be as solid, but I've also seen people run a soft brake line to the rear brakes on cars (braided steel tefon lined like madman reffered to) and they had no problems with a spongy pedal.
Personal preferance really.
