Im an idiot and cant do a burnout. For some unknown reason I cant do a burnout at the track with 11.5 ET's. On the street I can do them like no tommorow on nittos.
Ive tried both 1st and 2nd and dumping the clutch all the way from 2000 RPMs all the way to 4500 rpms both off and on the brake. The tires will turnover for maybe 3 seconds and then the car starts to go sideways getting almost no smoke.
Any advice besides getting a line lock?
They almost never spray any water either so its almost dry pavement.

A dry burnout on ET streets will eat your rearend quickly.
Sometimes I think the guy with the hose thinks he has to pay the water bill out of his check
If my track does not put down water. I will do my burn out dead in the water box until they get the idea. Once they do put down some water. I get just in the damp area in front of the box and do a low rpm (1500-2000) rpm dump and roll just out of the water and do a 3-5 sec burn.
If they do not take the hint, ask them to spray some water down. No water on slicks break expensive parts. I stopped going to the "Street Race" nights because they refused to put down water due to boneheads with street tires diving through the box.
Even with a linelock, you will still go sideways.
