My Big race Sup guys I need every single tip u can give me... my friends and I have loved cars since we were kids we are always competing with one another. We started with bicycles then moved to go karts and now we all have our cars. Me having a 2001 camaro ss ( SLP air lid, Headers and LM2 exhaust,thrust shifter 6spd) I just got this car because I gave my dad the 2002 ss he takes care of it better than I. anyways Im going to race my Friends here are the cars...
1.1996 300zx TT (suspension,and chip,5spd)
2.1988 mustang 5.0 convertible(Gt40 heads long tube headers ,intake, straight pipe,E.T radials, 5spd, ford racing cables, pro 5.0 short shifter)
3.1990 mustang 5.0 (auto flow master, chip, intake, gutted out 3.73 gears)
4.1989 honda civic 4 door (B16 Ported heads double cam, Intake, headers , straight pipe, suspension racing tires, chip, short shifter)
5.Mitsubishi Evolution VIII (Bone stock)
So how do you guys think ill Do?

Are you racing them on a quarter mile or eighth? I'd say with traction you should win or hold them off. The EVO will outlaunch you if the driver knows what they are doing.

Well we are racing a 1/4mile we are going to race on friday night.. but i need tips that are going to help me! like should i lower my tire pressure if yeah how much.. Anything is use full ! man I can wait we have never raced before lol and the guy in the evo is not a good driver he always miss shifts lol

Take out extra weight such as the spare tire and jack, and you can be crazy and the back seats.
As far as tire psi it DOES NOT MATTER, since it looks like your rolling those rubber bands you call street tires, you can try to air down but it may hurt the top end.
Most of this race will depend on you as a driver.
Now this will prob hurt the clutch but you CAN do this.
-Clean the rear tires off (slight burn out)
-Roll forward
-Raise the revs to like 3-4k, then slip the clutch out, not slow, nor a dump and ride it a little then punch it when your about 60 feet out.
-Then quick shift the **** out of it.
Also street racing is dumb, thats how people get hurt or killed, take it to the track.

evos are quick my best friend had a 03 evo with all the bolt ons and stock turbo and on 100 octane made right at 500 to the wheels. if hes on stock boost no problem but if he has a boost controller and knows what hes doing its gonna be tough.

if the guy in the gutted fox knows how to drive you might have a tough time.. if it truly is gutted all the way around.. your talking a 2500lb car..
you will smash the 300ZX.
the 88 stang if he can drive will jump you out of the hole cause he has sticky tires, but you should pass him up..
you will smash the civic..
the EVO... IF he can drive should beat you to about 90, AGAIN! IIIFFF he can launch it (most cant).. after 90, you will be coming by him like he is standing still..

The stock turbo on the evo 8s and 9s are no where near big enough to put down 500awhp. Plus the 4G63 hp limit on stock internals is usually in the mid 400s and wont last long in the 500s the stock rods will tend to let go at those levels. Evos are quick from a dig but are relatively heavy for a four cylinder. They also tend to fall flat on their face up on top due to the nature of their parasitic AWD.
Yes the evo above is the only car to out run me. They are fast if the boost is up!! I know from experience! I put the 100 shot on it and got his *** tho. This being said I do have alot more power than you , cam all bolt ons gear stall and he beat me by 4 cars in the 1/4. With no gas on my car at the time and he played with me at the line, I gave him the break and he made me sit stalled up for about 9 seconds killed my launch
