Can someone point me in the direction of a link to the detailed AC removal thread someone posted? It was similar to this one but the member took it to the firewall and put in his own hoses from the box, two to defrost, and two to floor vents. If I remember right he used some 2" PVC connectors and ran the new heat lines off of that.

This write up is great. I just started doing it last night. I am changing my heads and waiting for a fly cutting tool. I was looking at the back of the engine and was like screw it. I took a hammer (wrong thing to do and broke it up), I loosened the 7/32" screws and took that a/c object out. I have to go back today and cut my straight lines and attach some angles. It isn't that bad with the motor in the with no heads just make sure you cover the motor extra good. I also have the radiator out, so I am standing in the engine bay.

I think that's what you're talking about. I had it bookmarked.
