Default Engine Diaper, where to get one?

The tech director from my track just posted this:

Just a reminder to everyone. As of April 1st 2009 all cars running 9.99 or faster must have a lower engine comtainment system (diaper) or may use a belly pan.Belly pan must be approved by tech department.

Diapers DO NOT have to be SFI 7.1 cert.
Check IHRA rule book for pro classes.

The belly pan must extend from frame rail to frame rail and extend forward of the harmonic balancer and rearward to the rear engine plate or bellhousing and must incorporate a minimum 2 inch highlip on all sides a non flammable, oil absorbent liner inside of retention devise.

Thank You
Buddy Scurto
NED Tech Director.

Where can I get one that fits our cars?

Marco

We use DRE Engine diapers. They have a couple different selections. Here's their number and website. (217) 454-5289 or (217) 763-6352

Yup,

To be compliant really sucks!

But it should be budgeted into your total project cost.

Our DJ Safety Diapers are 199.95 are NHRA accepted and SFI 7.2 approved.

Diapers are custom fitted and now Available for LS1 with drysumps, F-body pans, and Ls1 Retrofit pans. With easy removal clips removes in seconds, absorbent pads hold up to 10 quarts of oi

Currently have Drysump and wetsump diapers available with and without engine mounts
Why go with a Non SFI diaper now and possible have to buy a new approved diaper next year if they require a sfi sticker/tag

The part i dont like after 20 or so passes with a FI car their is going to be some oil leak their just is . what is going to happen if it ever caught fire you have a diaper with oil in it straped to your engine and it is a NHRA rule" Lower engine containment device " any one 7.49 or quicker . I cant find it but if you are Super are Turbo charged and 9.99 or quicker it is required. I remeber reading it i just cant find I have a stroud if fits good but after i put the tabs on i took it off and put it in the trailer. i t will stay their untile i fail tech because of not having it. Just my 2 cents
