On the exact same set up as you I was able to get 1.93 60fts on street tires, best I found to do was slip the clutch from about 4k and ride it through the 60ft. Now obviously this is horrible on the clutch, but up to you if you want to try it.

Leave at the RPM the tires will allow, often it will be soft, and your going to be in the 2.2 to at best 2.0 60' range. I've had a great deal of learning to launch a M6 and this year I will be doing some experimintation to see if the car can do 1.5x. I currently pull wheels @ 1.7x

I hold mine up about 3-4 inches almost to the 60' then it settles down. Im running my own custom suspension in the rear, torque arm, lca's and phr. Up front I have a UMI K member, a arms, and Qa1's.. Bring up the RPM to 6500, and either drop it, or feather it depending on the track. For me, most of the time dropping it works the best. Best 60' of 1.51

A basic recipe.....

Race Weight: ??? Honestly I dont know, w/ me this car is heavy, when the weather clears up I will be re weighing it and the lighter rims will be weighed to figure our the diff.

!Front Swaybar w/ bracket

BMR Adj TQ arm -2 deg Pinion Angle
BMR Rear LCA w/ relocation bracket set to the lowest hole
BMR Adj pan Hard rod

No SFC's (will be adding)
Stock Springs
Stock Shocks
No Air Bag

M6 Trans with Fbody ratio's
Moser 12 bolt w/ 4.10 ring gear

5.5k Dump and pray

on a 26" tall M/T ET Drag (basically the smallest bias ply they make)

4" wide convo pro's in front.

The car was lined up in the groove via a good spotter w/ a decent burnout and 16 psi in the tire.

It hit's so hard the body of the car smashes into the rear and thats why the 60' is in the 1.7's vs the 1.5's where it should be.

I know what needs to be done but I gotta get the $$$ in line.

Same set up in the rear cept mine is UMI, One of my problems has been traction hop which I couldnt really feel through the slicks, but upon watching a video it was obvious. I added LCA/PHB for this season and hope to get some shocks in the back before I return to the track. my goals are also 1.50 60fts, I dont think my LS7 clutch will put up with more past that lol.

So a couple of questions...

1) How far is away is your track, and how many times were you going to get that 60'foot

2) How long did that 10 bolt last

3) How many clutches did you fry.

Ok, so clarify, is the 1.6 on a m6 or a4 trans??

Sounds like you gave up and moved on, which is fine but is beyond the scope of the poster's topic.

Thanks

slip the clutch out if you're on street tires, maybe 3300 rpm.. depending on how the tires hook.. no big burnout either, just a little spin to clean the tires off... then powershift that B#tch like you stole it. Believe it or not - M6 can handle a little beating.. especially if its near stock power levels. Hell i 1.44 60' my buddys cam only m6 goat and slammed every gear w/out takin my foot off the gas at least 20 + times and its still working great.
