Default MADMAN in Iraq!!!!!!

I know it's not Drag Racing Tech associated but I know madman monitors this forum so I wanted to make sure he saw it as well as others....

For those that don't know I'm a C-5 Galaxy loadmaster that operates out of Travis AFB, CA. i recently was doing some stuff in and out of Baghdad international (where we ended up breaking one of our hydraulic lines in the wings and had to stay overnight there).... Well while I was there I had a friend take a few shots of what was going on and remembered that I was rocking my madman and co racing shirt so i wanted a picture in the combat zone wearing the madman colors and using my airplane as the backdrop...... so here ya go. Thanks madman for all you do for us and our cars. I have a few madman parts on my car and even though I don't live in Louisiana EVERY time I have called there you have given me more than ALOT of extra info and I know that kind of knowledge shouldn't be free. So I thank you and your entire company for helping me get the power to the ground..... ENJOY!

MADMAN AND CO in the combat zone!!!!!!!!!!!!! and some other assorted pics....

Badass. That plane is huge. I could haul a ton of race car parts in that.

You'd be lucky to get there in a C-5. Notice the fire truck in the second pic.

Very cool Outlaw.

HAHAHAHAH..... It's funny cause honestly this was the first time I have broke hard in this airplane in close to 2 years.... I've had small issues but nothing that kept us down more than a day or so... the active duty B model airplanes are WAY more reliable than the reserve/guard A models. .. The A's are pieces of junk...

the fire trucks were out there cause when that line broke in the wing it dumped hydraulic fluid all over an engine that was still running.... Could have easily been a huge fire... but we shut it down without incident...

We fly them into the ground handling all the cargo that c-17's can't carry...

LOL.. When Fred comes up here to Elmendorf, they have to send 2 C-5's just so maybe one can fly. I'm a C-17 and C-130 guy

LOL.... You marines and the "grooming standard" or whatever it is that you guys call it.....

aircrew generally play by our own rules on the road.... and end up wearing whatever under our flight suits.....

You should mount some SYA bars on the belly pan, ya know, just in case. Get the powdercoated red ones.

Cool pics. I work for Goodrich corp. Landing gear div. And we have been making A lot of c-5 bogey beams the last few years and it's amazing how big the plane is that sits on these landing gear. We also make all the landing gear for the c-17. Cool stuff.

No problem. thanks for everything you guys do...

Funny about the landing gear... We landed here at Pope AFB in NC and broke the front landing gear upon landing... sheared the steering linkage in half.... plane started slamming right to left going down the runway at 150+.... We could have used some SYA bars... scariest thing I've ever felt since I started flying 6 years ago....

Anyone know where we can buy two new 44" rims..... We don't need spinnners just basic ones... LOL
