I like race bullets myself. They do get louder as they get older.

If this is a track only car why are you putting exhaust on it??

I would run it wide open headers, but that's just me...

I've preffered the Borla XR1's if you can afford it. Otherwise, go with Moroso Spiral Flow's

I could put some 18" extensions on, but I think the X pipe will give me alittle more backpressure and torque. They will be dumped before the axles.

I have a ORY now with a Borla XR1 on it. Great muffler but a little hard to fit two of them under the car where the X pipe stops. Bullets are alittle smaller.

I went thru the exhaust game a couple times, tried a big dia Y with a bullet, tried open headers and now I run a 3.5 inch dual (no x or h) with a pair of super 44 mufflers.

Went no faster with the exhaust off then I did with the 3.5 inch stuff on, the y pipe was probably a tenth or so worse then the open headers were.

If you have to run an exhaust, I'd go as big as possible, and run a relativly open muffler, depending on your track's noise requirments if they have any.

If you have no rules as far as noise turndown off the header, aim it down at the ground out the side, and leave it at that.. the X/H pipe isn't gonna make enough added power to justify the added weight.

How long are the 3.5" pipes and who makes the supper 44 muffllers? That would be great since I have 3.5" collectors on my stepped headers.

I have about 18 inches of 3.5 inch pipe before the muffler and about 12 after the muffler with a turndown type bend cut off the end that faces outward. The super 44 is a flowmaster muffler, they don't make them with a 3.5 in/out, but we cut the ends off where we had to and welded the pipe right to the muffler case, no problems.

Next car I plan on running the same muffler, but will have to go with the oval dr gas piping to get to them, unfortunately they will probably sit farther back, but I want the car low LOW to the ground and will need to move them a little to get the clearance around the cage and whatnot.

Yeah I thought that was a Flowmaster. Haven't heard of people running them on these cars. I just might go with that set-up. Thanks again.

hahaha, they used one of our cars for their commercial of those mufflers when they came out.

Side note-->I've got some Hooker aerochamber 3.5" muffler's if anyone wants to buy them. Got maybe 10 miles on them.
