Default QA1 Coilover Spring Replacement

So I have the front QA1 coilovers on my 2001 WS6...I'm not sure what springs are on the front of the car currently (purchased the coilovers used). My issue is that the coilovers are causing my car to sit too low in the front, aswell as my suspension being way too stiff. What springs would you recomend for my fronts? My friend was telling me to go with the 150# for my fronts. Not sure if that would be good for me. Also what size springs should I get? diameter? height? If I get a shorter spring will that allow me to raise my front end higher than it sits currently???? Please let me know what you think. Any information ont he subject would be greatly appreiciated...

My friend was telling me to go with the 150#
That seems to be on the soft side.
Depends what you want to with car.

300 to 350 and go from there. front

I'm not worried about street manners....just purely straight line performance....are the 150# too soft for the fronts? I'm concerned the 300# will be too stiff. I'm looking for something that will benefit drag racing the best....

150# is waaaaay too light of a spring for any car's front end. You need something like a 275 or 300, depending on what you're car weighs, runs, etc. Give me a call at the shop. We can get you set up with the correct springs and shocks. Phone number is 225-673-3533.

Kinda busy today....I already have the QA1 coilovers all around...It's just the front springs that need to be replaced. My car weighs in very close to 3100lbs. What spring rate do you think? What spring length do you recomend.....

If you look on the spring it will have a part number on it. Call QA1 and see what they are, the smallest spring for these cars I know of that QA1 makes is a 175lb.

I have 315lb springs on mine, and in my opinion its not enough spring.

But Madman and Steve is a better option in my opinion. Cal them.

Check your shock settings, if they are all the way to firm(+12) it will ride rough.

you could probly get away with running 275# springs up front.

Even at the softest setting on my coil overs it's still too much....I will try the 275# spring and take it from there....and I guess I will call QA1 about the correct spring length...

Does anyone know how the 275# spring rides for street on the front? I need help with my setup! I bought used qa1 double adjustables and they have the drag spring setup, 325# up front and 150# in the rear. I’m looking for a softer spring for a smooth ride Im just a weekend driver who likes to get sideways every now and then. Please help.
