Default What are you guys doing with old wiring?

I dont want to pull the whole wiring harness, but I have a bunch of wires that used to go to stuff like the a/c, cruise control, foglights, etc. Are you guys just snipping these and taping them up? Just trying to figure out the safest and cleanest looking way short of pulling the harness out.

trace them back as far as u can then cut them....or

you can trace the wire and find where it originates from and un pin it, thats the best way

If i cut them, do I just wrap the ends with electrical tape or what is everyone doing? Trying to clean up the engine bay now that half this stuff is gone.

At first I just pulled them back as far as I could and taped them up. When I had my motor out I traced them back and snipped them. They all terminate some place so there wasn't really a need to retape them after they're cut.

I was just worried if the loose ends touched each other if that would create a fire or anything.
