Default Still having launch traction issues

I have been having traction issues ever since i had the car, the 4.10's put a lot of tq down and i thought (and everyone else seemed to think too) that i needed some suspension work. I put on UMI LCA's and relocation brackets and panhard bar and got down to about a 1.8 but still as high as 2.2, then i did the springs and shocks and the launch was straighter and the weight lifted off the front and came back nicer but the 60's stayed at 1.8 at best. Got the TA installed and ran it tonight, 1.8 at best still, i just cant get the 60's down, and this is on motor, i cant even leave on the bottle or else i pull out like a 2.2 60'. Im really leaning toward thinking that i just dont have enough tire for my combo, with all these suspension changes i would think that i would have had some type of improvment in my 60's. As far as my launch technique i am staging at about 1200 on the foot brake and then droppin the throttle...

i went ahead and did the install of my new UMI adjustable tunnel mount torque arm, it only took abut and hour and a half, working off jack stands, if i had it on a lift it definatly would have been less than an hour. This seems like a great solid part, i really like it however, I need to get the car back in the air in the morning though and double check the pinion angle. Two things are concerning me, one, which im not sure if it is a big deal or not, there definatly feels to be a bit of vibration in the rear end now, especially at freeway speed. If that's normal i'll deal with it but the bigger concern is that i didnt pick up anything on my 60's at all. I'm still not hooking up off the launch, spinning through the 60'. I'm still getting a 1.8 60' with quite a bit of spinning off the line and through the 60'. I think i set the pinion angle at -3 correctly, checked the angles with a CE angle finder, the drive shaft showed 4* right of 0 and the bottom of the TA mount showed 7* left of 0, so it should be -3* right? The other suspension is in my sig: UMI LCA's set on the bottom hole of the UMI relocation brackets, Eibach drag launch springs, qa1 r series up front set all the way soft, and summit 3 way adjustable drag shocks set firm (50/50) in the rear, and UMI panhard bar. I'm running stock transam wheels in the rear with MT ET street radials 255/60/15's i have tried a wide range of air pressure but 22 psi seems to work the least crappy (cant say the best with these results). Do i need to change the pinion angle, did i set it up correctly, any thing else you can think of to help me out. I know i'm losing a lot of ET on my 60's

well i talked with UMI yesterday and it looks like i had the pinion angle set wrong, jeebus there is more mis-information out there on pinon angle than there is on dry vs. wet n2o. Any way i followed what the BMR video seemed to say and what i though was -3* was actually -11* so that definatly explained the vibration i was getting, i fixed it now so it is at -3* and it rides very smooth now. Though i dont know if that is going to fix my traction issue yet. I still am thinking that i will need more rubber on the ground, now i just need to figure out what size i need to run

If the adjusting the TA dosent help then I would reccomend lowering tire pressure if your still spinning with 22 psi. Those tires are safe till 15 psi I think............ If your still blowing the tire off then try a different hole on your lca's. And you can also try disconecting the front sway bar as well.

stock TA wheels are 16" no? and 17" for the ws6.
you wrote 255 60 15's. are you on a 15" wheel/tire?
what are your shock settings? are you full weight?
1.8 isn't really terrible on a car running 111 mph imo, 2.2 is bad.

i have tried every psi from 15-22 and it didnt make a difference, of course that was before the ta so i'll try it again, i'll try the sway bar thing too, the LCA's are on the lowest hole

yea it is a 15" it looks like a ta wheel, i guess it's not a stock rim then, and it is spinning pretty bad, and kicks a lil right some times off the line, i cant even think about leaving on the bottle, full weight, qa1's set all the way soft up front and summit shocks set firm (50/50) in the rear

I would do a search on shock settings then, maybe its all in your shock tune.

I had the same problem with no traction and put QA1 adjustable shocks all around with BMR rear springs and now no traction problem. Ive done a lot of mods to my car and besides the engine i built, the shocks was the most noticeable mod i done yet.
