Traction on Et streets
Traction on Et streets I went to No Problem raceway last night and was running some 26x11.5x16 et streets . The track was doing pretty good and I was trying to leave at 5500 rpm's. I was running in the 11.8'-9's range and only pulling low 1.7 60 ft's. I did get a 1.67 but I missed 3rd and the run felt strong untill then. I may have to go back to 16 inch Nittos ,as they make more mph than the et streets and leave just as hard. I wanted to make a pass on the 315x35x17 Nittos but by the time I swapped them I felt like leaving , 3 am in the morning with a 1hr ride ahead of me. THe da for the night was 166 ft above at 10pm and by 3am it was -384 below and my best mph was only 117.20.
I want to run the Et streets but Even on a hard launch and the car hooks it just seems to be stuck at 1.67 . The car is heavier with the 17's and 12 bolt but I think I need more gear. 4.30's perhaps

Re: Traction on Et streets Hey met you at Cruisin the Coast! That's the same same setup i use. But i do run the 4.30 gears. Sounds like you are launching well. Might try launching a little higher. (I know sounds crazy) But leaving at about 6000-6500rpm netted me a 1.59 n/a on skinny's in the front.
Whay was your tire pressure? I try to run about 18psi or more if it's hooking. The little higher pressure helps for the MPH.
Sad thing is my best on the n20 is only a 1.54 Figured all the extra power would help on the 60' but just netted wheel spin.
Give her a fiew more tries. I think youll get it down and run some killer times. (not that your times arent already killer)

On the radials I shifted at 6500 and crossed at 6800..On the ET Streets I'm still shifting at 6500 and crossing at 6300..I know the taller tire would make a difference in MPH but I didn't think it would make that much of a difference..
Re: Traction on Et streets I wanted to try a 6000 launch but could not get the nerve to go that high. I think I went as high as 5500 on the 1.67 launch but not sure. It was spinning to a 1.72 on my last run and went a 11.94 at 115 . Mph actually went down when I tried not running the air filter.
