Default which drag wheels?

which brand would be best to go with bogart or weld? i will need to grind the calipers to fit the welds, right? are there any other drag wheels besides the bogarts that are a direct fit for fourth gen cars? anyone running the bogarts on the street? is it safe if the car is just a weekend cruiser? what size wheels and tires should i run in the front and in the rear? will i need spacers?
who has the best deals on these wheels?

I run Bogart Bolted RT's..I run them everyday on the street and haven't had any problems at all with the wheels..The Bogarts are a direct bolt on wheel for the 4th Gen. cars...They may cost more but well worth the money in my own opinion..Talk to Steve at SJM..Here is a link..

He'll be the one to talk to when it comes to sizes....

i understand that centerline telstars are a direct fit for our cars also. what's the weight difference between them and bogarts? i know the price difference is quite a bit.

Last time I spoke with a centerline rep, they mentioned the teltar 15x4 weighed ~11 lbs, 15x10 weighed ~16 lbs...centerline rear BS isn't optimized for our cars. Price wise, they are inexpensive...if you were looking at price only, centerlines would be the way to go.

Average weight of Bogart P1 series rims for LS1's... 15x4= ~8.75 lbs, 15x10=~10.5 lbs In addition to the other benifits our rims provide, there is a substantial difference if you considering weight only...

If you use there statistics of a 1 to 8 ratio regarding unsprung weight and static weight, the different of using a telstar over a Bogart P1 would be about 128 lbs! Centerlines are the heaviest out of Weld or Bogart rims per similar size.

Hope this helps,

Steve

The Centerline Convo Pros are probably the cheapest and lightest rims that will fit without modification. You will need 7.5 in the back though due to the fact that Centerline hasn't made a rim to fit any car made after 1901. They still think backspace is how wide your girl's booty is.
