Default Best hooking 17?

I have 17x11 bogarts on the back of a m6 car, what would be the best hooking tire and in what size.

I know a lot of people talk about the m/t but what would be the best size if this is the best tire. 295 or 315.

m&h has a set of 315's that are 28" tall that are pretty badass

yes i have those tires but they are a very narrow 315 like 10.3 inches tread width might look alittle goofy on a 11 inch rim i have them on a 9.5 rim and they look perfect on them i run them for the height but i will say they hook like a sum bitch

unless u need the height getav8 i would run a mt 315 on there they are a badass tire

MT's 295/45 would give you more sidewall (27.4") to help absorb the initial shock when launching while
the 315's give a wider contact patch but lower profile (25.6").

I've used MT 275/40's, 295/45's, Nitto 315's, and M&H 325/45's
Overall I like the MT 295/45's best...little more sidewall but height doesn't kill your gear like the M&H's(28")

I am running a 315 bfg drag radial but the best I have been able to muster out of them is a 1.7 and that was only once. It is usually a 1.8.

Some people are telling me the 295 is better than the 315. But I haven't actually talk to anyone who has personally run both on a m6 car.

I am trying to get into the 1.5 range. Is this likely with a m6 on a 17 or is it pretty much a pipe dream?

Yeah, 325/45/17, 28" tall, 10.3" tread width, will work with an 11" rim.

They also make a 390/40-17 if you can fit it in the wheelwell!

I have been 9.5 at 150 on M&H 325-40-18 drag radials, with a soft 1.51 sixty ft. Hoping to knock that down to the 1.3 range and be in the 8's on this Sunday. I don't know what the record is on 18" M&H's is, but I am gunning for it.

That looks like a lot of tire, I wonder if I can fit the 325 in there.
