Ozite light weight carpet??????'s
thanks for the pointers. I am gonna start mine on my day off. probably start like you did around the shifter. I am sure I can stretch it, I am not so sure about where it wants to bunch up though. you just slice it to make it lay flat?

I only had 2 little ares so far where it wanted to bunch up and that's were it curves down off the tranny hump to go down to the floor boards. I made about a 3" slice behind the gas pedal and one on the passenger side as well. Take your time with it and cut off a little at a time to meet back up together and you will not see the line at all. The stuff blends, bends, stretches and forms all contours so you will not have any issues. It really is some nice stuff to work with. Good luck and let me know how it's going for you. By the way I'm on hold to finish from my back seats to the trunk, damn military weekend duty ****! I'll get some pics up after I finish though!

You know it's funny ... not too long ago, there were threads left and right where people
were dynamatting their cars to quiet the interior down. Now all I see are people doing
everything then can to rip all of the pad out and save weight.

I like the idea of swaping out the stock camaro carpet for a nice dark black color, looks much nicer.

well internet is slow as hell in Afghanistan so search keeps on timing out and since this thread is here and not meaning to hijack it but how much ozite do i need to purchase to do the entire car. Ripping out the stock carpet when i get back to put the roll bar in. Also who has the best price on it currently

5 yards of teh 80 inch wide, 7 if you want to do the trunk area with it and lose the stock liner too... but that's a real pita to do and have come out looking right. I'd leave the stock liner in the trunk.
