Question about the Edelbrock elbow

Why did the divider bother you? I actually like the fact that it's there. The fact that most all sheetmetal's don't have it bothers me more. Check out this view from edelbrock of divider vs. no divider.....yea, I'll take the divider, haha. Plenty of people out there happy with the Aarons though, so you can't really make the wrong decision there!

[/QUOTE] The sheetmetal one's I've seen kind of sweep up from the tb so you don't get all that air hitting the back of the elbow at a bad angle, instead it directs the air down and back forward a bit.
From that illustration the divider looks like a band aid for a bad initial design.

Definitely the best option here is a 4barrel. If i was N/a or nitrous, I would be running that. It's a no-brainer (if you have the fab skills to mod the cowl to fit it)

As far as the elbow goes for design, I am convinced that the elbow is a quality piece that will hold up just as good as any 400+ dollar sheetmetal elbow. Save you money, and use it elsewhere. 40HP gains.......
we are talking about #3847 (the one that fits without any cutting).
I'm also not seeing a 40 hp gain between this and an aluminum elbow... maybe 5 or so, but what does it matter when I just make up for it with "extra flow" (read bigger pills in the carb plate).
