need some 60 ft help
need some 60 ft help Hey guys I've been having trouble with my launches and my 60 foot times are horrible and killing my overall times. I can't get better than a 2.2 it seems. What rpm should I be launching at? I have MT street radials and a full bolt on car.

wheels are 255/50/16, stock springs and shocks, never had the car on a dyno.
my best time with my 2.2 60 foot is 13.6 @ 107mph
Probably not enough air pressure, and if you're on a stock rear and clutch they're gonna give out before too long with a tire that will grab.
Put those tires up to about 20 psi, good 5 count in 2nd gear for the burnout, rev the car to 3000 and let teh clutch otu quickly and gas up as you're doing it to not bog the car.
Stock clutch isn't gonna like that much for long I'm sure, and once you put a clutch in it, the rear's done for, followed by the driveshaft.
FYI, if you want it to run a #, get ready to spend 5 grand on parts. But, once they're in the car you'll likly pick up as much as a second, and be able to throw more power at it and not worry.

are those street tires? if so your not gonna drop the 60 to much more. but there is room to improve the stock clutch will hate it but slipping it will work better on street tires instead of dumping it and roastin the tires off the line. and i wouldnt take the tires below 18psi
