Default Diet safe?

I have a hardtop z28 looking to get a little more skinny. car is street 95%

Car has:
full bolt ons
UMI LCA's
UMI tq arm
UMI SFC's

Already took off:
spare tire/Jack
back seat(cloth)/Seat belts
catback (cutoff right before stock muffler)
AIR/EGR

1..i was looking at doing a tubular k member using stock power steering rack.
2..Looking at removing bumper support for Burkhart's
3..no front sway bar

how safe running these three on the street? car only goes out on weekends but i dont want to chance strength and support.

also i keep hearing using "lightweight" batteries? what brand? link?

im not looking for extreme just looking to shave a little.

Those things should be fine on the street.

For the front swaybar delete, it depends if you like turning or not. Aggressive freeway lane changes can be scary w/no swaybar

i daily drive my trans am with not front sway bar. I make a 2 hour highway trip twice a week plus alot of in town driving. the front dives a little when you get on the brakes, but i leave plenty of room between me and the car infront of me. the passing thing can be a little shakey sometimes tho.

edit- if you get an aftermarket kmember get the road race one. it is stronger.

You can get really crazy if you want. I have my front Swaybar removed, its not a big deal but you do notice a diff. I can still bank the car hard and it is fine. Its great for weight transference.

You could look into lighter rims, removing rear stereo speakers or the factory amp in the spare tire area. Also taking out the insulation/sound deadening meterial under the carpet.
Light weight batteries work but make sure your Alternator is up to snuff.

Just make sure when driving on the street to leave the door bars and rear bumper support in to ensure proper safety.

It should. It is just like the normal one, just has extra bracing for street time.

You will have to search for the common modle for Fbody specific but you will be a slave to the charger and it is something where some batteries, when they die, your can be fucked.

People tend to Gravitate towards the PC680 model

PC680

General use engine start, no metal jacket, low temperature applications.

The PC680 measures 7 1/16" in length, 3" wide, and
6 9/16" tall.
The PC680 weighs less than 15 pounds.
