I agree with the 8" and a high stall with your power, maybe 5000 stall.
I personally think Neal Chance converters are AWESOME and Marty over there will spend time going over every detail of your set up with you to get the best vert for your combo.
Just to give you an idea how much a converter can help or hurt you, with my old 408 I went from a Yank 3600 stall 9" vert to the Neal Chance 8" 4400 stall vert and took nearly 1 full tenth off my 60' alone. Over 8 hundreths and I mph'ed better too.

im not sure if im driving through it or not. i plan on ordering a neal chance converter when i get my next combo done. the one i ordered from ati is built for my combo, so i guess will see what happens.

I've never used ATI but have heard they make a great product and very good customer service as well. I'm sure she'll get out now. Post up results when you get her going with the new vert.

Where are you guys racing at, Marion? I just got orders to Ellsworth, so I'll probably be there next year for the big weekends. Sounds to me like your old convertor wasn't very efficient. The new convertor, 28" tires and 4.10's will get that thing moving towards 10's.

yup, marion http://www.thundervalleydragways.com/. if you get up around these parts before labor day, you should come on up. theres always a good turnout when ever there is a 1000 dollar to win shootout (only thing that sucks is you have to race box cars), or the nostalgia cars come up.

Well hell, I cant leave Anchorage until 1 November. Sounds like I need to put a brake and a box on my car. I think I might be spending alot of time at the track in Pierre.

disappointment is not even the word now. knocked off a tenth off my 60ft, and thats about it. maybe 5 hundredths off my 1/4, with no mph gain. pretty much 800 bucks down the drain. the 60ft are decent now, just dont understand how i did not pick up anything on the big end. here is a video of one of the runs. i did see int he video about 10 seconds in, my rear drive side came up quit a bit for some reason.

just a little update. with the help from joey at excessive auto sport i was able to get the car down to a 11.03 with the DR. could never turn up the 2 step past 4500 otherwise it would just spin the tires. couple weeks ago the car got some 29.5 slicks with 4.57 gears and ran a best of 10.69 at 125mph. there was still more on the table but didnt have the time to get the suspension tuned back in. the car still has alot of potential, but decided to move on to bigger and better things. im sure this wont be the last time you guys hear about this car

Nice runs Drew. Did the wife get a video of any of your runs? I think you did great for a stock bottom end going 10.6's. With our DA never below 2000' and for the most part only average track prep you did great. At least you got your 10's. Next year 8's?

Hopefully my car will be ready.
