New Best Today

Took the car out one last time today. In some cold damp weather I ran a new best.

60ft 1.54
1/8 mile et 7.17
1/8 mph 94.18
1/4 et 11.35
1/4 mph 117.08

I ran some other two other 11.39 passes. I'm happy with the performance of the car. I was able to drive 80 plus miles to the track each way on the highway. Race and drive home with no problems.

For people that don't know my setup

Stock shorblock.
TEA stage two 5.3 heads
Comp 228/228 cam
Speed Inc 4l60e
ford 9inch 3.90 gears
Runs were on 28/1050/15 ET Drag
Raceweight 3400 lbs

Awesome.

i think you should try running on some 26" slicks I think you can go 11.2 no problem.

Thanks for the comments. I would like to try a 26 inch slick to see if I can pick up any. I think with some better weather I might have a 11.2 pass in the car. If it is nice next weekend I'll try to get out one more time. Season is about over up hear in chicago. I'll be send the car for paint/body work in two weeks. Can't wait till next year.

Thanks, I can't wait till I start pulling some real 60fts. Next year I'll expecting some low 1.4 60fts on a 150 shot. That should make for some nice wheelies
