Default Chassis table leveling questions

When trying to set up the chassis/driveline on a race car using a chassis table what is considered "leveling the car"? Do you level based on frame rails, natural ride height, axle/spindle center line or what? Also, is it prefered to have the engine/transmission at zero degrees in the car once it is level?

I too used the rocker panels to level the car front to back. I measured at several different locations down the center of the car to get it level side to side. This doesn't mean that this is the correct method by any means, it was my first serious build (10 point, sfc's, etc) and I was kind of just using logic to do what I thought was right.
