Help with right gear ratio..... I have 3.23s. Right now my car traps @ ~125. I went on the freeway yesterday and at 125 I am @ 5600 RPMS. My Peak Power was made around 6200. This was on Nittos though. Not sure wether Im going 26 or 28 ETs. Also, Im putting spray on it.
Not sure wether 3.42s or 3.73s in the new rear end.

What gear you need for the 1/4 has to do with a variety of things including...
Trap speed
Tire height
Power curve
Max RPM you want to turn the engine
Converter slippage with an automatic tranny
I'll assume that you want to cross the line at about 6400 on the bottle, 7% converter slippage, 26.2" tires, and 135 MPH across the line after the spray.
Ok, with 3.42s and 26.2" tires you'll be crossing the line at about 6367 which would be perfect. If you went to 28" tires and 3.73s then we're looking at about 6497. With 28s and 3.42s it would be about 5957.
