Default Front suspension

I've got just a typical bolt on/nitrous car with lca's, ta, swaybar in the back competition 3 way shocks on 50/50, and subframes, and a 3600 converter. What kind of shocks/ springs are working for people? No kmember up front. Keeping in mind I don't have a huge budget.

I have been looking at QA1s with 300 pound springs. I can get this for about $475 shipped.

You could get a set of V6 struts and springs.....I did this on my 93 T/A and it work pretty well and it only cost me about $100.

F series are for mainly street and R series def have track slant to them. I personally am getting set of R series, I have already put a UMI drag bar on the car and it drives mint on the street.

I have the Strange single adjustable coilovers and they shaved 2.5 - 3 tenths off my et's. Other than going with slicks, this was the single biggest improvement I've made to the car.

After doing the research, I liked the way the Strange S/A shocks only adjust the rebound while the compression stays the same regardless of the "click" setting. The QA1 single adjustables get looser on rebound and compression for each "click" setting. If I ever get to a point where I'm pulling the front tires, I want the added safety of having full compression stiffness, even on a loose rebound setting.

I understand. However, If you're running really fast and get the nose way up there, does a stiff compression make the front end want to "bounce" down the track?

I would recommend a QA1 coil over up front with 300lb springs. A QA1 coil over kit would include two adjustable front shocks and two springs, it also allows front ride height to be adjusted. This kit runs $460.00.. if you have any questions give us a call.

Thanks!

Not at all. I run Strange Single Adj's with a hypercoil 275 lbs spring. The front end doesn't bob or bounce or come down any at all until it drops at the finish line. I usually run mine 2 clicks from full loose to full loose depending upon the track conditions.
