1.50's on DR's.. That's SICK!

Personally - I'd throw that MAFT away.. I had nightmares keeping my a/f right back before edit. With Chris R's tune I wouldn't change anything a/f-wise.

Was it Colonel that said the oil sucked into the intake can cause detonation? Might have a point there - my car blows a little blue smoke every now and then and I hear pinging sometimes as well. Only on the drivers side - and that side runs a little leaner most of the time too. Slow O2 sensor may be the culprit too - who knows.

The humidity certainly didn't help you. It kills my car's mix and mph.

Congrats on the new best and you're flying for sure! Stick with the DR's and work on the tune.

Lynda - get the 5.3 truck PCV valve. It's got a much smaller hole and works well for this problem I heard. Gonna try it on mine.

I installed a air compressor filter in my pcv system after trapping at low speeds (off by about 2 mph). Went to the track the next week and my speeds were back to where the should have been with a worse DA.

We might have to try that as well, I have one of the new design truck pcv valves in the garage, but i have never tried it out. It has a smaller orifice, but it is not a check valve like the old style, its striaght through design.

Thumbs up

congrats Lynda

I see the car has some great potential and is still moving really well as it is. My feeling would be as mentioned earlier that the oil is knocking the octane down and causing KR. I would really get that straight and put tr55 back in it for N/A

I can see the car picking up after you resolve a few issues

good luck

Larry
