Default Diode Specs for LPE 2-Step

does anyone know what the specs are for the TVS Diode that LPE recommends that you put on your solenoids when using their 2-step?

i dont have my 2-step wired to the line lock solenoid, so i dont think this is really a concern for me but $0.99 at radioshack is cheap insurance that i dont accidentally fry something else electronic in the car with some voltage spike.

I tried to find the same information you are looking for and couldnt, I just paid the 5.00 and bought mine from lingenfelter. They come with nice long leads on them...

I purchased an older LPE 2 step from them and it didn't come with a diode.
Do you have any idea if I need one?

They told me that have to be installed on the linelock and transbrake solenoids. Apparently these solenoid spike some very high voltage for less than a millisecond that can damage their 2 step.

I believe it says in the manual, something like +-40 volts or +-25 volts, somewhere in that range will work.

Ps. Buy the MSD unit

I second that

it is not a regular diode it is a Zenar diode.
