Step one..... LATCH T-TOPS
My video to remind you guys to lock your t-tops.
Ive never had to trailer my car before.... had to climb into the car through the t-top... forgot to lock it after getting in.
I suppose this is my contribution to safety/method.

I lost a top on the way to the track once. Made it from Jacksonville all the way to about 3 miles from Gainesville before it went. Almost caught it as it was going up too... ended up coming down with only the shade in my hand.
The top completely shattered when it hit the ground. I picked it up and saved it though so I could swap the lock with my replacement.

happened to me before. driver window motor went out and it was raining, so i unlatched my ttop and draped a plastic bag in between...pulled the bag out the next morning forgetting to latch the top and blew off hitting a bump going 45. shattered all over the road so i had to get a new one

OOOOH yeah,... the same thing happened to me, but on a busy street. I just had the car a couple of weeks: The driver side t top flew off around 80, and the t top shade hit me in the face surprizingly hard. Serves me right for going 80 on a 45... Luckily they was no traffic behind me.
But i got some from off a camaro at the junk yard for fairly cheap, and i just swapped out the locks. It actually worked out great cuz i like the microdot film WAY more than just the dark transparent tint covered with the shades

Happened to a buddy of mine
came off about the 1000 ft mark- he was going well over 100mph, haha got some nice air under it too.
It's good for a laugh and you got yours on video so live and learn I guess.

I gotta chuckle at the google ad at the bottom of this thread. "T Top Replacements www.T-TopsOnline.com"
I suppose I should have kept it for the lock cylinder.... damnit.
