You will not burn the quarters with the Wolfe kit. All welding is done to the inner wheel well.
If you did a full tub and welded the tubs in you would burn the quarters. At that point you stretch the wheel wells to so it would all be part of the deal.

I would wait to paint the car until after all the mini tub/rollcage work is done. Lots of crawling in and out. And chance of an air hose or welder hose to scratch fresh paint.

fiberglass cloth. 99.9% of prostock cars were done this way back when we had to use steel quarter panels (plus the tubs were aluminum, then carbon just before the full carbon bodys came out). Look at your older prostreet cars that welded the tubs to the quarters. It always spiders the clear where the weld is.

correct. Not that im aware of. Just cut the strips 4" wide and around 8" long. Scuff up the tub and the quarter panel. do this on the inside of the tub (where the wheel is). Doing this also seals the smoke from coming inside the car and makes this area hard as a rock. Plus you can always cut the fiber glass and take the tubs out if you ever need to paint the cage or update the car.

Everybody is correct about no burn marks on the fender. You'll be fine with the Wolf mini-tubs if you go the welding route.
Hey Gator, what kind of price are you looking at for getting the mini-tub installed? I've also got the Wolf kit and am wanting to get it in before too long.
