Default Why use a Lenco over a Power Glide?

Why do people use a Lenco transmission over a Power Glide? What is the advantage to useing a Lenco over a Glide? Just curious why people choose Lencos.

.

Not as much a difference now a days, but 10-20 years ago the glide wasn't strong enough.
Plus depending on the power & combination, if you had a smaller power band,
you needed more gears to run your quickest.
Now a days you can still get some ET & MPH from a clutch,
if you're in a class that allows you enough time to maintain it.
Unless you have a blown Hemi monster, the Lenco is no longer the best choice.
Unless of course your class requires it, like IHRA does.
The modern Liberty, G-force, Jerico ect are a lot more efficient for some combinations.
One of my cars is made for a Lenco,
but I've been thinking about switching to something more modern??
