give the race weight of the car, a bias ply is what is needed, some 4.10's and a good rear.

if you had a 28" tire with a 4.56 gear it would spin easier than say a 3.73 gear where you could launch at 6k rpm and prolly still hook the car. gear ratios multiply Torque that is why. somone correct me if i'm wrong.

I run hoosiers and they work the best on the street for my car. at the track with the M/T and the hoosier i did not see a differnce.

Every set-up can affect the components needed to make it work best in most (if not all) conditions. As mentioned, weight, gearing, suspension, power level, rear end, etc etc

I run a 28x11.5x15 with a 4.11 gear, the diameter of the tire is truely 27.6" which puts my gearing at around a 3.80. I run this in my M6 car on juicey juice at the track and get the times in my sig, thought about going to a 26" tall tire but was always afraid it would just spin it's *** off.

I running 28x10.5-15 MT (Stiff Walled) ET Drags with 4.30 gears in my cam only car. Best short time last year was 1.53 launching at 6600 off a 2-step. I should be in the 1.4s this year.

Here's a vid, enjoy.

to have a stick car launch hard you'll need some nice suspension... stick cars shock the tire very hard.

I don't run a 6-speed car, but I also use the M/T ET Drag 28 x 10.5 x 15 stiff sidewall and it works great!

both mt 26" and 28" stiff work great on my car. been 1.48 60 ft with 4.30's and 28's. went 1.46 60 ft with 26" and 4.88 gears. have not put the 28's back on yet with the 4.88's

OK fellas, I just burned up my 26x11.5x15 Hooiser QTP`s. Im a bolt on, suspenion m6 camaro with a fab 9" 4.11 gears and spooled. Car has been on a minor diet. Runs consistent high 11`s. The car did descent short times with the et streets (bias) and best 60' was 1.59 with the hoosiers. Im looking for a little better 60' so heres my options.

1) try a 27x11.5 Hooiser qtp
2) 26x10x15 Et Drag
3) 26x10x15 (S) Et Drag
4) 28x9x15 Et drag
5) Will a 28x10.5 or 28x10 fit and run the times with my 4.11???
