Does anybody make an after market heater core for an ls1 car? i really wanna get rid of that big as heater box under my hood, its a pain to work around, if i didnt live in indiana i would just take the whole thing out but i really need heat with our weird summers. Thanks guys.

I thought the heater core was in the dash?

I believe it is the A/C core that is in the engine compartment.

So I can tear that out and still have heat and a defrost?

Yup. You can buy a cover up plate from sponsors on here, or do what I did in my old IROC and hack up the sock black cover. I used fiberglass, to fill in the space on mine.
