Lowering springs?

Lowering springs? Is anyone running bmr 1.25" lowering springs or a similar spring in the rear with a 28" tall tire? I'm currently running strange coilovers in the front and stock springs in the rear with the isolators removed and I'd like to get a little better stance. I know going lower isnt going to nessisarily help my 60' but I want to try and find a middle ground between looks and performance. I've also tossed around the idea of cutting a 1/2 a coil out of my stock springs.
