Default kirkey seat?

I bought a kirkey racing seat without doing research due to deal I couldn't refuse. My only problem now is will I pass tech to be able to race at a drag strip with this model.....56LW Series - Sprint Deluxe Upright - Lightweight 14.5???

I don't see a reason why you couldn't use it as long as it is properly mounted. It appears to have more bracing and the side bolsters wrap around a bit and stick out further than a drag style seat. I'm sure it is heavier than a drag seat as well just judging by the pictures I've found. 14.5" is pretty narrow so I hope you are a small person.

I say try it and find out, Ive personally seen cricle track seats in cars at the track numerous times...didnt seem to be any problems.

With all the extra bolstering youd be safer in a rollover but it would suck in the event you had to get out of the car quickly...especially with a full cage.
