So ive just bought a ta 427, has headers to dual 3" w x-pipe and straight through duall mufflers. they dump right before the axle and its loud as crap. Im all about the amazing rumble but Va cops love to give out exhaust tickets.... So the pipes are fine but what mufflers will keep that amazing sound but cut the noise level in half? ive heard of flowmaster "hushpowers" but never seen anyone with them...

You might be able to get by with a pair of Magnaflow mufflers... it'll still be super loud but it might quiet it down enough to keep the cops off your back.

Bringing them out the back of the car will really help cut down on the drone and how overpoweringly loud it is.

i would call it 100percent overbearing... ive been in many bbc bracket cars that dont hold a drop to this monster... we were sitting in the driveway with the engine idling and the radio was half volume and you could barley hear it... and thats component speakers and a 500 watt amp... what about the borla xr-1's?

3" Magnaflow 11229 I believe is the part number. It's what I'm running, cut the volume in half compared to my Dynomax bullets which were insane.

What is on there now?
